![]() There isn’t really even a doubt that this man committed this heinous crime, as will be revealed in bits in the beginning of the novel. The beginning starts off well with the suspicion of a popular English teacher and Little League coach, Terry Maitland. It seemed a little boring after the climax and also unlikely. I suppose it’s because not only is it a King novel and I already expect a lot, but also because the direction it seems to be going in at the beginning makes a huge turn near the climax of the book into a direction that I didn’t quite like. This book as a whole was a little bit of a let down for me. ![]() ![]() Trigger warning for murder, specifically a somewhat graphic detailing of child sodomy, mention of suicide, and other creepy gory and graphic details sprinkled throughout. Though it seems like a straight-shot criminal case it soon turns into a supernatural one. ![]() However, some people start to question this and soon a creepy unraveling of events begins to happen. ![]() Fingers are immediately pointed to a English teacher and Little League coach, no questions asked, with what seems like undoubtable proof. In the usual King style, a murder has been committed which seems too gruesome to occur in a small, sleepy town like Flint City. ![]()
